神奈川県出身。1995年にファッションモデルとしてキャリアをスタートし、雑誌・ランウェイで活躍したのち、1998年に女優へ転向。2003年『ラスト サムライ』で国際的に注目を集める。Born in Kanagawa, Japan, Koyuki began her career in 1995 as an exclusive fashion model, working across major editorial and runway platforms before transitioning into acting in 1998. She gained international recognition with The Last Samurai, establishing her presence in global cinema early in her career.

以降『嗤う伊右衛門』『ALWAYS 三丁目の夕日』三部作、『杉原千畝』などの映画、『不毛地帯』『きみはペット』、Netflix『全裸監督』『サンクチュアリ -聖域-』などのドラマに出演。Since then she has built a substantial body of work across film and television — from Warau Iemon and the Always: Sunset on Third Street trilogy to Persona Non Grata, and on television Fumō Chitai, Kimi wa Petto, and Netflix’s The Naked Director and Sanctuary.
